Accountability in Personal Relationships Workshop w/ Sunny Drake

Thurs., Oct 9, 6:30 PM @ GSRC (427 UC)
A workshop exploring concepts of harm, different models of accountability and practical skills for making amends when we cause harm (big and small) to friends, lovers, family, workmates and others. We look at reasons why we are not accountable - including a lack of understanding of privilege and power, defensiveness, being attached to being the "good ally" e.g. "good anti-racist white people" or "good feminist men" and how our thinking is shaped by policing and prison mentalities. Includes practical hands-on skills for being accountable.
