Volunteer Postings

Position: Harm Reduction Project Organizer

Role Description: Volunteers, as Harm Reduction Project Organizer, will:

- Communicate between relevant organizations and wider Carleton community about harm reduction initiatives.
- Routinely maintain the harm reduction shelf at OPIRG providing harm reduction equipment and information to the wider student body.
- Develop harm reduction education initiatives: workshops, trainings and other activities. .
- Work with organizations to provide supports when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Student or Community Member
- Agree to the Mandate/Basis of Unity of OPIRG Carleton
- Willing to work in an horizontal, (aiming to be) non-hierarchical space
- Willing to work in a space actively engaged with and always re/learning anti-oppressive practices 

Position: Associate Coordinator (Organizational Sustainability & Education)

Role Description:Volunteers, as Associate Coordinator (Organizational Sustainability and Education), will:

- Maintain routine communications with union members, OPIRG members and OPIRG staff to explore alternative healthy funding streams.
- Develop and operate free academic tutoring on a weekly basis for students who require additional academic supports.

Position: Associate Coordinator (Organizational Promotion & Visibility)

Role Description: Volunteers, as Associate Coordinator (Organizational Promotion and Visibility), will:
- Maintain promotional opportunities for the organization including, but not limited to, postering, social media, and pop-up events.
- Develop and produce materials to acomplish the above.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Student or Community Member

- Willing to work in a space actively engaged with and always re/learning anti-oppressive practices 

Position Title: Event Support Assistant

Role Description: Volunteers, as Event Support Assistants, will:
- Assist in event set-up, coordinating refreshments, participant support and any other tasks that are needed to ensure a successful event.
- Assist with promotions of given event and assist with assessment of the event following its completion.
