What is a Working Group?
Working groups are collectives—groups of people working together towards a common goal while sharing responsibilities and decisions equally. They function autonomously with funding and programming support as needed from OPIRG - Carleton. Together with our volunteers, working groups are the heart of OPIRG-Carleton.

How to Start a Working Group
Working groups can be an existing collective/initiative or a brand new one. To become an OPIRG - Carleton Working group you must apply during our open application period in order to receive funding. Additionally, every OPIRG Carleton - Working Group is expected to abide by our anti-oppression & decolonization, safe(r) space, and conflict resolution policies and participate in anti-oppression and transformative justice trainings.
